Hello Kind People,
Can you believe that July is almost over. And as I write this newsletter, I am reading about the small shoots of hope in the vaccine development. Next year, this time hopefully our lives will be back to a more conscious and sustainable form of normality. What are your thoughts ? Would you want to go back to the life that we had know ?
Our Kind Find of the Week:
What do you think when you hear of Norway ? I always think of this whenever it came up in my conversations. I hope that I am able to travel soon enough to tick off my bucket list.
But did you know about the Museum of Kindness in Norway.
What is it about ?
The Museum of Kindness is an art project where stories of kindness are made into works of art. It is a creative community building project. Their central quest is if ‘can art and stories make us a kinder society?’
I think it is a brilliant idea. Art is another way of spreading this narrative of kindness which is much needed in our world.
This project was conceived in 2018 and is run by a team of 6 including a small dog :). The exhibitions comprise of work of art around the narrative of kindness. They have an upcoming exhibition in November. Do check their website. I hope we will be able to collaborate with them in the near future.
As much as our lives and societies get polarized due to difference of opinions and objectives, I am so happy that there are individuals out there trying to do their bit to make kindness a common ground that brings all of us closer.
Food for Thought :
Water is still not an equitable resource across the world. This valuable resource is depleting with pollution, industrialisation and climate change. Did you know 2.5 billion people still don’t have access to clean water ? Isn’t it high time to be more compassionate towards the earth’s resources ? Can we adopt some ways to do our bit and be kind to the elixir of life ?
This community congregates to dance and celebrate the access to clean water.
Reflection for the week :
Drowned in his palm,
With the world in his hands,
Life for him seemed to be in a hurry,
Despite the blurriness of the ride,
He stood up and offered a seat,
To the woman standing beside,
Our eyes met for a fleeting second,
Acknowledging the goodness with smiles.
I can’t help notice these acts of kindness in the buses and trains. The poet in me was itching to write as I stepped into the tube after a long time. I wish that we step out of these little devices and have conversations in these uncertain times.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s edition. I will be back with more stories and some photos to share from my travel adventure this week. Please share your thoughts with us and share the newsletter to spread more kindness.
Stay Safe, Stay Kind.
Lights will guide us ahead
Beautiful. Takes me back to the days i was in Norway and lovely people around.
